jalapeño Poppers
Can you tell yet that I really like spicy?
Welcome back to my fiery kitchen. We are going to have a blast making "Jalapeño Poppers" that will make your taste buds tingle and your mouth water like Niagara Falls.
Or maybe it’ll just make you want to drink Niagara Falls worth of water after it sets your mouth ablaze.
Kidding, kind of.
Here's what you're going to need to make these explosive bites of heaven:
Ingredients
Jalapeños (obviously)
Nonfat Cream cheese
Sharp Cheddar cheese (shredded mixes easiest)
Bacon (because, duh)
Thats it!!
First, you need to cut the jalapeños in half and remove the seeds.
Tip:
If you want to avoid any jalapeño-induced disasters, put on some gloves. And for the love of Pete DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE (or go to the bathroom) without seriously washing your hands. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Next, mix together the cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Simple, but magical. The combination of creamy cheese and sharp cheddar will make your poppers unstoppable. Now, scoop the cheese mixture into the jalapeño halves. Yes, it's messy, but that's half the fun.
Last but not least, wrap each jalapeño half with a slice of bacon.
The combination of jalapeños and bacon is just …ugh, chef’s kiss.
Now, grill or bake these little guys at about 400 degrees until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted to perfection.
You've got yourself a spicy, cheesy, bacon-y explosion in your mouth. Warning: these poppers are extremely addictive and are so easy to make a ton at a time, so they make perfect party poppers!
Just make sure to tell your guests to proceed with caution, make sure to have plenty of water (or margaritas) and a fire extinguisher nearby.
